NEST. it learns your habits....



NEST

 "why a thermostat whats so intresting and  whats so forward thinking about that"i hear you say.

its not the fact that its a thermostat (well maybe it is) more the fact it learns your patterns it knows when ur asleep when your home and it give back more feed back than your average thermostat.

I think that as an interface it works well it has no buttons (dont get me started on buttons). its a analog interface, by that i mean you have more control over the item in stead of the I/O situation with a button or switch. 

gestures as they are called are far more tactile and user friendly then a button is.


fair enough to open an application there is no need for anything other than a button. However a gesture is a far better way of sorting data and controlling navigational elements.
